 I Know That: Reinforcement Activity Center  This site offers learning reinforcement activities for Kindergarten - 6th grade in core content areas. It includes activities of the day, videos, and many other interactive options.
 PBS Kids  This site is a portal to websites for educational shows aired on PBS. Sites include Mr. Rogers, Barney, Sesame Street, and many others.
 Scholastic - Parents  This site offers a variety of research and help tools for parents, students and teachers.

Mathematics Help

 National Library of Virtual Manipulatives  The site is hosted by the University of Utah and provides virtual manipulatives for students from Kindergarten through Grade 12. Manipulatives are created for each of the major strands of Mathematics, including Number and Operations, Algebra, Geometry, Measurement, and Data Analysis and Probability.

Reading Help

 5000 Collegiate Words with Brief Definitions  This is a great site for review of vocabulary words commonly used in testing.

 ReadWriteThink: Reading and Writing Center  A great site for teaching reading and reinforcement strategies for struggling readers of all ages. The online comic book creator is a wonderful resource for getting students excited about writing.

 Onelook Dictionary  This online dictionary portal is the one-stop shop to a huge variety of online dictionary sites. Its "Quick Definition" box makes it easy to use - even for primary children! Make sure you check out the "Reverse Dictionary" link also. It's wonderful for finding new ways to express ideas!

 Mr. Dowling  This site offers virtual tours and photographs of primary artifacts. The content focuses on Social Studies for students in grades 6-8.

Writing Help

 5000 Collegiate Words with Brief Definitions  This is a great site for review of vocabulary words commonly used in testing.
 EasyBib: Bibliography Assistance  Any parent who has ever attempted to help their child write a Bibliography or Works Cited page will love this site! This takes the guess work out the whole process. Students simply choose the type of source they are trying to cite from a drop down menu. (The menu includes books, magazines, internet articles, cartoons, newspaper articles...the list goes on and on...). A screen appears that contains only the fields necessary for that particular source type. When all of the sources have been added, they will be listed in alphabetical order...all ready to be saved as a MS Word document, or even sent to an e-mail account! Trust me, teachers, parents, and students alike think this site is the best invention since sliced bread!
 Visual Thesaurus  The Visual Thesaurus is an interactive dictionary and thesaurus with an innovative display that encourages exploration and learning.
